Berwick finally lost out in the race for second spot of the Northern Premier Trophy section after they only managed a 45-45 draw with the Sheffield Tigers. This meant that they finished their 12 matches on 19 points, with the Workington Comets in second spot with 21.

The match itself was a back and forward affair with Berwick finding themselves trailing for most of the match before finally pulling level after Heat 14. Michal Makovsky then made sure of the draw and also making sure Berwick's home record remained intact by winning Heat 15, with Pepe trailing in last place.

Next Saturday, Berwick have the hard task of trying to pull back a 26 point deficit against the highly fancied Kings Lynn Stars in the 2nd leg of the KO Quarter Finals.
